Back to work..........

This morning was harder than I thought it'd be. Everything at the house went fairly well. I had to fuss at Adam for a few minutes b/c he wanted to play when it was time for us to leave, but that was the only thing that really went wrong. Once we got to daycare, that's when it started hitting me. I felt the tears wanting to start when we got in her room, and I think part of it is b/c she started crying - mainly wanting out of her carrier. I held it in until I got back to my car. That's when they fell. I've checked on her twice today and she is doing just fine, it's her mommy that isn't doing as well! I honestly thought in my mind that it wouldn't be as hard this time around (mainly b/c I know the teachers and really like them all), but it was almost as hard as it was for Adam's first day at daycare. I guess it doesn't matter if it's your first, second or fifth - your heartstrings are still pulled when you have to leave any of your babies that "first" time somewhere....

Hannah is 2 months old today!

I took her for her 2 month checkup today, and it went well - up until the shots part of the visit! She weighs 11lbs 5oz, and is 23" long. She is in the 25-50th percentile for weight and the 90th for her length!!! Maybe she is going to be tall and lean like her daddy!! She was so happy for the doctor, cooing and smiling and twisting around, just being overall happy. They gave her the oral Rotateq vaccine, and she loved it. Next came the shots and she never saw it coming. It broke my heart before she ever got the first shot, and I was in tears for her. Needless to say she was full blown mad, and wanted nothing to do with her bottle for a few minutes. She eventually took it and then let me dress her. I've kept her dosed up on Tylenol and will through the morning. We'll see how she's doing after that. She goes back at 4 months for the same group of shots, and I dread it already. Adam survived them all, so I guess she will too. I just hate knowing that she can't understand why she's having to go through this pain, and that I'm the one "letting" it happen. I'm just glad that I'm not the one that has to give them to her! I don't know that I could do it!

My time off is all but up now. I go back to work on Tuesday, and it's going to be here before I know it. This time off has really flown by. I knew it would though - it did with Adam. Now I'm planning his 3rd birthday party, and that just doesn't seem possible. I'm going to enjoy every minute that Hannah is little and soak it all in. I'll never go down this road again, so it's bittersweet for me. Some days I wish I could just freeze time, but I guess that wouldn't be fair to them. They have got so many fun things ahead of them, as well as challenges. I hope and pray that they keep their innocence for as long as possible. I want them to always remain "childlike", especially with their trust and faith.

Down to the last week.......

This is my last week of leave before I head back to work next Tuesday. This time has surely flown by, as Hannah will be 2 months old this Thursday. Wow! The real world will completely kick in as I'll be holding down a full time job outside the home and full time wife & mom to 2 kids now!(3 if you count Nathan! haha!) The hours once I get home will be fast and precious!

The pictures above are from our trip to Myrtle Beach last week. We all had a really great time, although Adam is now dealing with a stomach bug. He's home today, and will be home tomorrow from daycare. His "vacation" is lasting a little longer! I'm just glad that if this was going to happen, that it happened this week instead of next. I just pray that Hannah does not come down with it.

Hannah is like her brother in the sense that she knows I'm going back to work soon. She is now officially sleeping through the night! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adam started sleeping through the night the Friday before I was to go back to work after having him, and Hannah started sleeping through the night while we were at the beach. Last night she slept from 8:30pm to 4:30am. I'll gladly take that!!! They both started sleeping better in their 8th week. I hope that her sleeping patterns continue for a long time to come!

Our Mothers Day Family picture!

For Mother's Day, the guys at church cooked the ladies breakfast before Sunday School. We had a very nice breakfast with all kinds of food! After church, we came home and ALL took a nap! That was so nice - especially to me, as I never get one anymore! That afternoon we rode out to my parents, and then to Nathan's. I am truly blessed this Mother's day and everyday by our two beautiful children. I couldn't have asked for a better gift than them.

This morning, Hannah and I were playing around w/ my cell phone and decided to take some pictures! She is showing more of her sweet personality everyday, and making all those cute little baby sounds! She will be 7 weeks old this Saturday.

Zoo trip today for Adam!

I spent the day with Adam today, having some mother/son bonding time! We went to the zoo w/ his daycare class, and despite the yucky weather we had a good time.

The top picture is the outfit Hannah had on to spend the day w/ her Nana & Papaw! Her great-grandmother Wagner bought her this, so I had to take a picture of her all dolled up!
