21 weeks pregnant!

You are 21 weeks pregnant.
Dates and numbers:
There are 132 days until your due date on April 02, 2007.
You are 148 days pregnant. You are 4.9 months pregnant.
You are in your 5th month of pregnancy. (huh?)
Your 1st trimester: June 26, 2006 to September 24, 2006. (0 - 12 weeks)
Your 2nd trimester: September 25, 2006 to January 07, 2007. (13 - 27 weeks)
Your 3rd trimester: January 08, 2007 to April 02, 2007. (28 - 40 weeks)

Babies move around a lot at this time, and they are not settled head down (the usual position for birth) for some time yet. Large meals may make you feel uncomfortable. This might carry on for the rest of your pregnancy. Aim to eat smaller meals more often! You may find your breathing is affected a little by your growing uterus - extra effort may leave you slightly breathless. This is because your uterus is pushing against your diaphragm, leaving less space for your lungs. Your baby's blood circulation is completely functional. The umbilical cord system continues to grow and thicken as blood travels with considerable force through the body to nurture the baby. The placenta is now almost equal in size to the baby.

Adam went to his first Christmas parade in Thomasville today!

The weather was just about perfect for the parade today! It wasn't too windy, which was a good thing! Adam seemed to really enjoy all the fire trucks, police cars, horses, well basically everything that came by. He enjoyed all the candy that mommy picked up being tossed from the floats! I'm sure he thought that was a very cool thing!! Both Nana and Nannie went with us, and Jennifer, Courtney and her family came up there as well and hung out with us. Hopefully it'll work out for us to go again next year and take Hannah as well!!

Look what Nathan brought home this morning!

This is what Nathan has been wanting to do all season, and he finally got his chance today! He brought home a 9 point buck from where he hunts in Montgomery County. Hmmm, I wonder if he gets the same "euphoric" feeling from hunting that I do from shopping?? Nah, I doubt it!! :0)

Trip to the doctor & a brag moment on Adam

Well, first let me catch you up on what led to the doctor appointment today. Sunday morning I woke up with an awful headache. It wasn't getting any better, so I took some Tylenol (since my choices are so limited right now). I did this all throughout the day, and it didn't get any better, it actually got worse. I woke up with the headache again Monday morning, but by this time I couldn't move my head or lower my body without the pain being unbearable. My neck and down into my back were aching as well. So I thought maybe I was dealing with some kind of sinus infection b/c the main part of the "hurt" was in my forehead area. I bought some Sudafed, and that didn't touch it. When I got home I was in so much pain that I decided I was going to call the doctor on Tuesday morning. About 30 minutes after I got home I started freezing, and could not get warm. I went to bed @ 7:30 pm, and before the night was over my fever got up to 101.6 . This morning the fever was gone, but the headache was not. So, I called in and spoke with my regular nurse, and the doctor called me back a couple hours later, and told me that he wanted me to come in this afternoon. The dr. run several tests and told me afterward that he was checking to see if I had meningitis!! I was floored by that, but Thank God he ruled that out! He said that he feels like I have been dealing with a severe migraine all this time, and it is causing me to have muscle spasms in my neck and back. However, he is baffled on where the fever came from. That is what initially had him check me for meningitis - that and the ongoing headache. He wrote me a prescription for something that I HOPE will take care of both problems. He said that if I have any more fever or the migraine is not gone in a couple of days to call back.

Now for my brag moment on Adam!!!!!

When I went to pick him up this evening from daycare, and one of his regular teachers was still there. She said that they used the childrens hand to make turkeys today for thanksgiving. So they explained to the children about Thanksgiving, and read books on all kinds of things to be thankful for. They went around to each child and made the turkey pictures with them, and asked them what they were thankful for. She said Adam thought for a minute and said, "baby Hannah". When she told me that, I just cried. She said she came so close to calling me today to tell me that, and hearing that this evening just made my day. He is going to be such an awesome big brother, and "baby Hannah" will be blessed to have him to look up to.

the post everyone has waited for!

Yes, I'm very late in posting this - but what a weekend we have had!!! I'll start off with Friday. That evening was the Opening Ceremony for Special Olympics. I help coach the Bocce sport in Davidson County. Bocce is basically yard bowling, or very similar! The players range in age from 10 years up to in the 60's. Saturday morning was the start of the games, and it was COLD outside that day! The games started at 9am, and didn't finish up until @ 4:30pm. We had 4 teams in all and they all did great - some winning medals, and others ribbons. They had their dance Sat. night at Showplace in High Point, and they enjoyed theirselves quite a bit! Sunday was the final round of games, and the awards ceremonies to follow. However, I got a call from Nathan right @ lunchtime that Adam was throwing up and SICK! So I rushed home and we dealt with his virus the rest of Sunday and on into Monday morning. He was so pitiful and weak, but shortly after lunch on Monday he started perking up little by little -and that night he was running around like nothing had ever happened! After talking with one of his teachers, I found out that a virus has went through his room and got all but 2 of the kids. Now I've just got to hope that Nathan and I both dodge it!

Adam went back to daycare today, and at 9am we had our long awaited, much anticipated U/S appointment!! My mom and mother-in-law both went with us. They took Nathan and I back first to do more of the internal scanning of the heart chambers, brain, stomach, lungs, kidneys, etc.etc. I told her that I wanted both moms in the room when she revealed the gender to us. So she went out and got them and brought them in. She asked if we had a guess, and I gave her mine. Nathan didn't have one, so she said that I was right! **don't forget that you can click on each picture to enlarge it, if needed**

Here is the picture of the gender:

Here is a picture of my belly as of today (be prepared! lol!)and our big news!!!:

Once we finished with the u/s, I went in with my doctor and he said that everything was looking great. She is weighing approx. 1/2 lb, and is @ 9 inches long. He did tell me that they will be watching her growth closely as I progress in the pregnancy to make sure that she is staying on track with the single artery in the cord. But right now our little Hannah is just perfect!!!

I'm sorry for those that don't already know that it's taken me this long to get it posted. I was extremely busy today at work playing catch up from being out yesterday.

I hope that everyone is well, and I'll be keeping you posted as the weeks go along!
