First dr. appt. for this pregnancy today!!

I had my first doctor appointment today, and I guess it went okay. I left there a little confused, but here is the story. After the usual b/p check, weight, etc. She gave me my est. due date based off my last period to be: March 27, 2007. So once I get in the room, they do a transvag. u/s. At first he sees the larger sac to the right and thinks that is it. Then he scans over to the left and sees the much smaller one. So he studies this for quite a while, and tells me that he is 99% certain that the two sacs do NOT mean twins! He's still confused though as why I have two at such different sizes. He said the bigger one could be blood left over from implantation, and the smaller sac is actually where the baby will be, and I'm just not as far along as he'd thought. He said I could have ovulated much later than normal, which would have me still in the very early stages. He asked me if I have had any spotting yet, and I said no. So he told me that if I was to have ANY to call him at once. He sent me for more bloodwork to check my HCG levels, and I will hopefully get that back tomorrow @ lunchtime. I go back for another u/s next Tuesday -Aug. 8th. Here is the picture from the u/s today - the smaller sac on the left is what he's thinking is the actual pregnancy. If so, I'm guessing now that my due date is April 3rd. I'll know more both after tomorrow and next week combined. All I know is from stressing so bad during the appt., my stomach paid dearly after it was all over! I'll keep everyone posted as I find more news out.

Yes! We are pregnant! Adam is going to be a big brother - ready or not! I will be 5 weeks tomorrow, and I have my first u/s on Monday the 31st. I went to the doctor last Wednesday (the 19th) to have bloodwork done, and it was confirmed! They called me on Thursday morning with the wonderful news. That evening after supper, I changed Adam into a shirt that said "big brother". I tried giving him one of the pink cupcakes to take to his daddy, along with a card. That didn't work!! He wanted to eat the cupcake right then and there! So, I had to take it in there to daddy, and the whole time Adam is following me in the middle of a wide opened fit!! Needless to say, when Nathan saw Adam's different shirt and looked at the cupcake, he knew! So I gave Nathan a card and Adam the cupcake and all was well again with Adam. Doug and Lisa came over shortly after and we shared the news with them! We're really excited and praying for a healthy baby and healthy pregnancy ahead.

My HP friend, Jennifer had a precious little baby BOY this past Friday! His name is Aiden, and he weighed 6lb, 6oz -20 1/2" long! Congratulations on your little blessing!

a new addition in the Shuler family???

Monday evening, my fil-Doug found a visitor in his garden! A puppy doberman, who has been hanging around ever since! Lisa is trying not to get too attached, incase the owner comes looking for her or we see a sign posted. BUT, in the meantime we've been giving her lots of loving and have temporarily named her ...........Callie! Here is a picture of (hopefully) our new family member....

welcome to the world Miss Hailey Thomas.....

Jennifer and Aubrey Thomas welcomed their daughter into the world yesterday evening @ 7:12pm. Hailey weighed 7lbs exact and is 20" long. She has a head full of black hair, and was born ON HER DUE DATE! How cool is that?? Congrats Jenni - I am so happy and thrilled for you, and your fun/excitement is only beginning!! I can't wait to see both of you!!

Sunday after church we went to Lake Myers, and met up with Donnie, Jennifer and miss Courtney who had spent Sat. night up there. Although the sun didn't really cooperate for Jennifer and I to work on our tans, everyone had a great time playing in the water and feeding the ducks/geese!!

Zachary turned 2 on Saturday!

Adam and I went to Zachary's birthday party on Saturday morning. Zachary is Sandy & Kevin's little boy. He had a great time playing with Zachary and all the "older" boys that were there too!


Adam made a new friend at Zachary's party, her name is Sierra! She will be 5 months old tomorrow.....

Saturday, the 1st day of July!!!!

I haven't written any updates this past week, so I thought I'd hop out here for a few minutes to catch everyone up.

I took Adam's birthday off to spend time with him. We had a very busy day! He had his 2 year checkup that morning. He weighed in at 26lb 8oz, and measured 34 1/2" tall. We weren't expecting to have any "needles" involved with that checkup, but they did have to test his iron, and he was NOT thrilled with that! However, that test came back great. Normal numbers are @10, and his was 11.2. After his dr. appt. was naptime. After nap, we headed back out for his haircut, and he sat in the chair by himself for the first time! He is such a big boy now!

Last Sunday (the 25th) was Adam's birthday party! He had a great time, and had lots of friends and family show up. Of course he didn't know what toys to play with first!! decisions, decisions.....!!

We have all had a good week, and are glad that the weekend is finally here. We plan on just hanging out @ the house and relaxing. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!
