a shoutout and an abbreviation key to my blog

After talking with Jennifer this morning, she informed me that she is confused on some things that are on my blog. So I thought I would put some clarification out here just for her and Donnie!! One the right hand side is a countdown ticker that looks like this: I told her that I'd post what exactly this is and what everything stood for. There may be other friends or family reading it that may too be wondering.....The "TTC Number Two is: trying to conceive number two! Yes, for those that don't know - we are working on a baby brother OR sister for Adam. "Clomid" is the fertility drug that I took in order for us to conceive Adam. I am on that once again. CD means cycle day and 5 is what day of the cycle I am currently on. Depending on what day you're reading this, the number may be different but today there are 24 days until I test (or until I should be late). We didn't make any grand announcements that we are trying again, we just wanted to wait and see how things went. I mainly put this counter out here to keep up with it daily (and to see who is actually looking at my blog!:0) ) So, now those of you that are reading it know the latest scoop and are as up to date as I am! When you're saying your prayers at night, say an extra one that we don't have a child when I want to, but when the Lord wants us to. That is my main prayer for us. I want us to have another child if and when the Lord sees fit for that to happen.

Adam's big party is tomorrow, and today is "get the house in order" day. I have been a busy bee cleaning, and tonight I will start getting the food and drinks ready. I'm looking forward to it, and there will be pictures to follow out here at the beginning of the week!

My baby is now a 2 year old little BOY!

Our sweet little Adam turned 2 years old yesterday. Where does time go? Yesterday morning, I was reflecting back to that time 2 years ago, and what I was doing. Let's see, my first reflection was @ 8:30am, at which I would have been getting labor induced!! Later on near lunchtime I thought back and it was @ the time I was begging for the epidural - I'd had enough of the pain!! But at 3:42pm on June 22nd, 2004 I was blessed beyone measure with a beautiful, perfect son that we named Adam. He is everything I could have wanted in a child, and then some. I continually thank God for him each and every day. I thank Him for letting ME be his mother, giving us as a family the responsibility of raising him. Despite all the challenges facing us now with the "terrible two's", I would not trade any of it for my life before him.
Thank you Lord for my sweet little boy............

Annie went to keep Jake company......

Sweet little Annie went to run and play with Jake yesterday. She didn't want him being lonely anymore, so they are both pain-free and happy now. I'll miss you too, Annie and tell Jake we love him and miss him......

Mid Morning Playdate

Adam got together with Morgan at her house for some playtime this morning. They played inside for a little while, and then had lunch. Afterward, they headed outside to ride bikes, play house and play on the swingset. They both had a really good time, and Adam slept VERY well once we got home!!

dinner and a date

Last night Adam and I met up with Bev and her daughter, Morgan. We went to the Cracker Barrel, and the kids had such a good time!! They had the most fun imitating and doing whatever the other one was doing. Whatever Adam ate, Morgan ate, and whatever Morgan had, Adam wanted it! This picture was taken after supper while they sat in the rocking chairs, relaxing and enjoying each other's company!!

A day at the Discovery Place 5/31/06

Yesterday I took the day off, and took Adam to the Discovery Place. We met up with some HP friends: Erin & Elissa, Melanie & Jadon.

Everyone seemed to have a really good time. Something funny happened at lunchtime. We decide to go outside of the Discovery Place to eat to save some $$, and I bet we walked in total a mile for a McDonalds that was supposedly only 2 blocks away!! Every person we asked said it was right up the street, or it was "just inside that building, etc". We finally went inside one place that had several restaurants and we found a Chick-fil-A. We decided that was good enough. We never DID see that golden arch that we were told existed! lol!! We went back for a couple more hours after lunch and decided the kids had had enough excitement for one day and they were all needing naps. Elissa & Adam both fell asleep on the ride home, they were wore out! It was really great seeing both Erin & Melanie and their children! Our last get together was a year ago - hopefully the next one won't be so far off!
