My big boy is 3 years and my little girl is 3 months...

This past Friday (the 22nd) was Adam's 3rd birthday. As I've done on his other 2 birthdays, I took this one off as well to spend with him and just help celebrate the day that he came into this world. All the memories of that day came back to me, just as if it was only weeks or even days ago. At different times during the day I could remember precisely what I was doing, or how close I was to seeing my first born child for the very first time. Nothing comes closer to assisting God personally than bringing a child into this world. You truly hold a miracle when the doctor lays a child in your arms that you've carried, nurtured, and prayed for. So even though I am thankful everyday for Adam, I spent "his" day thinking back and reflecting on these past 3 years and all the challenges and accomplishments both he has made, and I have made as his mom. Not only is he learning things everyday, but both he and Hannah teach ME everyday. They teach me patience, love beyond measure, worry beyond measure, empathy, and to NEVER take any second with them forgranted. Even though he is just 3 little years old, those 3 little years have flown by! I look at him all the time and see subtle changes in him. I hope one change that never takes place is his joy, the laughter in his heart and his love for others. I pray that he always loves Jesus the way that he does now, and always stands up for hisself and for others when needed.

That is my reflection on my precious Adam, and now to tell you about what all we did for his birthday!
*************************************************************

To start his day, we took Hannah to daycare and then he and I took off to the peds office to get him treated for Poison Oak!! Yes, of all things to deal with on his birthday, was a bad case of Poison oak. The dr. said that she does not usually see a reaction that bad in kids his age, so she put him on a liquid prednisone, and it has done the trick in him! (He is much better now!)

After the dr. appt., we took off to the mall to get him some new church shoes and a good pair of "play" shoes from Stride Rite. We found some that he and I both liked, so we headed on to Chuck E Cheese!!

Nana met us over there and had lunch with us. We stayed for @ 2 1/2 hours and I think we were ALL wore out! I took Adam home for a nap, and once he woke up we were back out the door again for him to have his hair cut. He had a very busy birthday!!

Saturday I spent the day getting the house clean and ready, and I took Hannah to go get Adam's cake. Adam and daddy went to Fun Fair out at the church, which worked out well for me to run the errands for his party.

Sunday, we went to church and came home to get ready for his party! There was lots of food to be prepared and finishing touches needed in the house and decorating needed to be done. 2pm got here quick and his friends started arriving. Adam got so many fun and cool presents, and he had a blast seeing everyone and running crazy!!! THe time flew by and his party was over. He is still enjoying all his gifts and wants to come home everyday to play with his new toys!!

Hannah turned 3 months old the day of the party. She got lots of loving from all the girls that came, so she didn't want for anything. She even had a present brought for her. I need to take her soon and have her weighed. She will get her next checkup and shots for her 4 month checkup next month. I dread that appointment already!! She will not be happy with her mommy!!!

Thanks for reading this far, keeping up with our family!

Wow it was a busy day! 3 years old! I find myself already thinking back what I was doing this time last year, down to a few weeks before I had my little man, so hard to believe he will be 1! Time does fly by so fast. Sounds like Adam had a great birthday, glad you two had a good day together. Loved the pictures and the cake was really cute.
Love and Hugs
Jennifer
