My big boy and his potty training success!

A week or so back, the daycare left me a note saying that he has been doing a great job in his pull ups w/ keeping them dry. His teacher suggested that whenever I was ready we could start him in underwear and see how it goes. So of course the next day I brought enough clothes/underwear for about 5 changes worth! Well the first two days I think we went through every outfit I sent with him. (He was very confused that underwear truly WAS a step up from his cool "Cars" pullups! ) On the 3rd day, I talked to him and explained to him that underwear was a big boy reward for using the potty instead of his diaper at night or pull ups at school. (we call daycare "school"). So when I picked him up from school that day, they said he did MUCH better, and I think only had one accident. Since then he hasn't had any accidents at school. He has had a couple right when I get there a few days, but he is doing so great at telling me now that he needs to potty. I'm still putting him in a diaper at night, and last night he kept it totally dry. So far this weekend he has stayed dry, and I was chicken about taking him to the mall yesterday in underwear. I should have, because he had no accidents and the entire time we were there he told me everytime he needed to "Potty". I'm just so excited at his progress! This is a huge milestone for him AND for us!!
