Spring trip to Myrtle Beach - May 17th - 21st, 2006
As luck would have it, Adam woke up sick, AGAIN the day before we were to leave out. Luckily though it was just a cold and he dealt with having it pretty well. I took him to the doctor to be safe and they said that everything looked good and sounded fine. Wednesday morning we got on the road and headed to Myrtle! This was his best travelling trip by far. He only got "fussy" once and it didn't last long. He kept busy by napping, eating, checking out the scenery or just entertaining himself in general! We arrived right around 11am and got settled in. Shortly after we got there, Nathan was itching to go fishing! I took him to Cherry Grove to meet up with his dad and I came back home and finished getting unpacked.
Early Thursday afternoon we all took Adam down to the beach. He did not care for the ocean one bit! The water was way too cold for his liking. He did finally come around to the big "sandbox" and had lots of fun playing in it. He and Daddy kept throwing sand on one anothers feet and they both had lots of fun trying to cover up the others piggies!!
Dawn arrived later that afternoon and Adam finally tried saying her name. It comes out "Nawn". Soo cute!!! We all got tickled listening to him call for her. Friday afternoon he played in his little pool and had a big time splashing the water and playing with all his toys. I got in there with him, which was a scary sight - but he didn't want mommy to get out once she got in. lol!!
That same evening we took him to ride the kiddie rides at the Grand Prix. He loved the more "thrilling" rides, and didn't care at all for the choo-choo ride.
The next day his newest girlfriend, Maddy came over and they had a great time playing with the water in the pool, running up and down the hill, and just hugging each other!
Saturday evening we got to find out just how much of a roughhouse Adam is going to be. His new fun thing is jumping on the bed and running around on it. Well his "baw-baw" (Doug) went in there to play with him and somehow or another they got to playing too rough and their heads collided! Adam caught Doug just right with his forehead and gave him a black eye. All Adam has is a small bruise on his forehead.
Aside from all of us coming home sick, we had a wonderful time. The girls (and Adam) shopped, the guys fished, and we ate good the entire time we were down there. I made 2 pound cakes within 5 days and we only brought home a little less than half of one on Sunday. The getaway was nice, but it was so good to get home on Sunday so I could truly rest!! :0)-

I can see Adam is going to be a stud muffin with the girls. As long
as he doesn't foget that he is already committed to Courtney. He can play the field until she can get old enough to start giving out her LOVE!
